I am a designer and artist from Guelph Ontario. I enjoy doing front end design, getting messy with electronic music, and sorting massivechunks of content into little organized piles. Over the years I’ve been teaching computers and business studies to high school students as well as spent time working with clients big and small across Canada.

I’d like to learn more about creating iOS apps leveraging mobile devices for clients.

When not at a computer you can find me playing ultimate frisbee, spending time with my family friends and listening to music.

Patternsketch is a free and interesting, web based audio sequencer and drum machine. You can create beats and adjust the kit, tempo and playback and save and/or export the files as WAV, MP3, OGG or even upload directly to your SoundCloud account.

This browser based tool is built with HTML5 and Javascript [no flash or frameworks] so you can rock it on your computer from any location and easily collaborate with others over the net. Right now, the developers say it works best with Firefox but we tried it out with Safari and it seemed to be working pretty well.

If you’re feeling competitive, there’s even a Patternsketch Beat Battle going on via SoundCloud. It’s only a matter of time before music production tools like this get more sophisticated and more cloud based so check it out and make something…and if you got something good post up your SoundCloud links in the comments!
