I am a designer and artist from Guelph Ontario. I enjoy doing front end design, getting messy with electronic music, and sorting massivechunks of content into little organized piles. Over the years I’ve been teaching computers and business studies to high school students as well as spent time working with clients big and small across Canada.

I’d like to learn more about creating iOS apps leveraging mobile devices for clients.

When not at a computer you can find me playing ultimate frisbee, spending time with my family friends and listening to music.

Want to move fast? Just do this (part 1 – Design)

I promised a write up on how I moved fast and what tools I used.  Many commenter specifically asked for advice on design and layout which isn’t surprising.  Most hackers/coders are pretty bad designers (myself included).  The backend stuff is easy, but when the pixels land on the screen it tends to looks like crap… the perfectionist gene takes over and you’re too embarrassed to launch your MVP, even though everything pretty much works.  This post will focus on speed in design.  I’ll cover non-design related factors in part 2.
